Sai Productions PUNJABI feature film “ Waris Shah – Ishq Daa Waaris ” has entered Academy Awards for 2006. Produced by Manjeet Maan and Directed by Late Shri Manoj Punj the film is based on the life of legendary sufi poet Waris Shah who wrote the greatest love epic of all times “ Heer Ranjha ”.

The official entry was officially entered by India Waves TV, San Francisco, California on behalf of U.S.A distributors of the film Golden Palm Entertainment Inc. The film will compete in various categories namely, BEST FILM, BEST DIRECTOR, BEST ACTOR, BEST ACTRESS, BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR AND BEST COSTUMES.
