Favourite
Though she no longer appears that often in Bollywood movies,
Juhi Chawla continues to be a favourite of popular Punjabi
singer and actor Gurdas Maan. After their last film together
Des Hoyaa Pardes became a huge hit, they have decided to come
together again for Waris Shah - Ishq Daa Waaris, afilm based
on the life of the legendary poet Waris Shah who arote the
epic love story Heer Ranjha in the 18th century

Sai Productions has completed the shooting of its feature film
Waris Shah - Ishq Daa Waaris ( Punjabi ) starring Gurdas Maan,
Juhi Chawla, Divya Dutta, Sushant Singh, Mukesh Rishi and others.The
film produced by Manjeet Maan and Kashmir Gill is said to be
the costliest and biggest film ever made in the punjabi cinema
and is about the life of legendary poet Waris Shah who wrote
the epic love story Heer Ranjha. A huge set of a 18th century
town was constructed near chandigarh.
The set attracted many
students from various colleges who visited the set as an
educational tour, besides many others who just visited to have
a look. Even the Governor of Punjab decided to have a glimpse
of the set and visited the set along with his wife while
the shoot was taking place.
